3 Boxer Dog Training Tips

It's important to start training your little boxer guy as early as possible. Your little bundle of love doesn't know what's right and wrong so you will have to teach him that. Boxer puppies are very cute and energetic and love to run around having lots of fun with the family. These great dogs have always been my favorite and I absolutely adore each one that I have. They can be a handful at times but it's worth the benefits when you see your boxer puppy obeying your every command.

Now, let's talk about the 5 boxer dog training tips that every owner should know when training their boxers.

Tip #1: Housebreaking - I keep saying it over and over again because of its high importance to housebreak your boxer puppy the first day you get him! Don't delay because it builds into a bad habit that becomes hard to break. The trick about housebreaking your puppy is to find him in the act of peeing or pooping inside the house. Give him a firm "No" as a sign of disapproval. Dogs pick up on human emotion and can easily detect when we're unhappy and disapproving. When you lead your puppy outside and he finishes the job then be approving and provide praise and treats. Over time your puppy will learn that outside bathroom is approval and treats while pooping inside the house equals trouble.

Tip #2: Biting and Chewing - This becomes a problem ever since they're small puppies. Boxer dogs love to chew and bite and will not stop unless you show clear disapproval. Every time you're playing with your puppy and he is biting and chewing on your hands then softly close his mouth and give her a strong, firm "No, Brownie". Use the word "No" only when you disapprove something so they will soon associate the word with disapproval and quickly learn not to do anything that you don't like.

Tip #3: Exercising Daily - This one is a no brainer. Give your boxer plenty of exercise each and every day to make sure he burns off all that excess energy. Otherwise your puppy will end up running in circles all over your house and biting/jumping on everything that move (and doesn't move). This is also quite important for health issues and creating a routine for your puppy.

You can't go wrong with training your boxer when you're using only the best boxer training methods.
